ABOUT
Petra Heric began with violin lessons at Music School Vrhnika at the age of six, initially under the guidance of professor Nina Demšar. Four years later, she continued her studies with professor Nastja Cajhen Rode and under her mentorship begin working with internationally renowned violin professors, such as Igor Ozim and Primoz Novsak.
Petra continued her education at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana at the age of 14 under the supervision of two professors, Primoz Novsak and Janez Podlesek. She enrolled in Ljubljana Academy of Music at 17, and completed her diploma under the guidance of Professor Novsak. Subsequently, she pursued further studies with Professor Boris Belkin at the Conservatorium Maastricht from 2017 till April 2024, when she obtained her Master’s degree.
During her studies she was regularly receiving lessons and participating in seminars and masterclasses of Igor Ozim at Mozarteum in Salzburg, Velenje and Ljubljana, Ilya Grubert in Portogruaro, Boris Belkin in Siena and Imola, Shunske Sato at Orlando Festival, and Henja Semmler at Conservatorium Maastricht and at European Music Institute in Vienna.
HIGHLIGHTS:

In April 2024 together with Stephanie Winker performs Mozart Flute Quartet at the final concert of Chamber Music Festival at Conservatorium Maastricht.
In March 2024 together with Tom Owen performs Mozart Oboe Quartet at the final concert of International Oboe Festival in Maastricht.
In November 2023 together with Magnolia duo performs a recital in Theater aan het Vrijthof.
In November 2023 together with Magnolia duo performs a recital in Opus 9 Hall in Theresiakerk.
In September 2023 together with Studium Chorale performs at Musica Sacra Festival.
In September 2023 together with Magnolia duo performs a recital in Muziekgebouw in Eindhoven.
In September 2023 together with SoliAmersfoort organizes and leads the ensemble with soprano and accordeon, permorming Palmeri’s Missa Tango and Piazzolla’s Ave Maria in Himmerod, Germany.
In September 2023 together with Magnolia duo performs a recital to open the season of Salviusconcerten in Limbricht, The Netherlands.
In April 2022 together with Hamlet trio performs in PLT Theater Heerlen at Backstage Klassiek.
In October 2021 together with Hamlet trio performs a recital in Theater aan het Vrijthof.

In 2014 selected to perform recital at Town Hall of Ljubljana, broadcasted live by RTV SLO/Ars.
In 2014 together with Maja Horvat performs Vivaldi’s Double Violin Concerto with Chamber Orchestra of Slovenian Philharmonics.
In 2014 represents Slovenia at International Association of Lions Clubs in Manzano, Italy.
In 2013 receives Golden Award at International Competition Euritmia in Povoletto, Italy.
In 2013 receives Golden Award at Slovenian National Competition.
In 2011 awarded to record Introduzione et Tarantella by P. de Sarasate and Dvořák’s Humoresque in recording studio of RTV SLO.
In 2010 receives Golden Award and first prize at Leon Pfeifer Competition with Igor Ozim as chairman of jury.
In 2010 receives a scholarship of Marcosig Competition.
In 2009 and 2010 performs two recitals at Cankar Hall in Vrhnika.
In 2009 receives Golden Award at Slovenian National Competition.
In 2008 as a soloist with the orchestra performs at the Congress Centre Brdo pri Kranju.
In 2008 commences collaboration with Slovenian Ballet Artists Association (DBUS) performing at Slovenian National Opera, Cankar Hall, Auditorium Portorož, Tartini Square, and Tartini Theater.
Regularly performs in Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
Other notable musicians she performed alongside are Željko Joksimović, Gal Gjurin, Amira Medunjanin, Dolly Dots and André Rieu.
